Bumble Tots Toddler Group (2-3 years)
Bumble Tots Room
Bumbles Tots is a light and creative room full of wonderful displays and stimulating resources. It is next to the Baby Bumbles area which allows a smooth and supported transition from one room to the next.
We encourage children to bring in their favourite comforters and there is a separate sleep room for children who require a nap.
The room is organised to provide a wide range of activities including construction, role play, dressing up, cookery, creative and messy play! The children's brilliant artwork is shown off in the fantastic displays that fill the room.
Curriculum
Bumble Tots activities are planned in accordance with Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum. We strongly believe the children should have fun and enjoy their activities while also learning and making progress.
We also believe in the importance of the outdoor environment enhancing childrens' development. Weather permitting the children take part in outdoor activities in our large and stimulating play area on a daily basis.
Working with Parents
We encourage excellent communication between parents and staff to ensure the needs of the individual child are met. Each child is allocated a key worker who works closely with the parents to achieve this.
A development book is built up througout the year which records the individual child's progress and shows photographs of their learning. This book is given to parents at the end of each year and makes a wonderful keepsake for years to come!
In addition to the daily contact between parents and staff reports on individual children are sent out in December and July and a parents' meeting is held at the end of March.
Daily record cards are also produced for each child in the Bumble Tots group. These cards record details such as what food they have eaten and what they have done during the day so parents can keep track and share their day.
