Busy Bumbles is an exciting and stimulating room where each child is encouraged to develop to their full potential. We strongly believe in the importance of creative play in children’s development and the room is organised into different areas designed to stimulate their imagination.
These areas include:
We aim to prepare and support the children fully in their transition into school. The day is planned in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum which places the emphasis on child initiated learning.
Our philosophy centres around the individual child. Each child is allocated a key worker who works closely with parents to ensure the child’s needs are met.
Outdoor play is an important part of the curriculum and, weather permitting, the children have access to daily outdoor activities.
We believe that excellent communication between parents and staff is vitally important in the overall development of each child.
Each child's key worker produces a development book on each individual child's progress throughout the year which parents can view at any time. This book is given to parents at the end of the year and makes a wonderful keepsake for years to come!
In addition to the daily contact between parents and staff reports on individual children are sent out in December and July and a parents' meeting is held at the end of March. During the first term daily record cards are also produced for each child recording what they ate and did so parents can be sure they are settling in well.
